Balanced is specifically designed using the latest scientific evidence to help you improve your physical activity, sleep and dietary behaviours. You have the choice to link Balanced with your Fitbit to measure your activity and sleep. And we have made sure that tracking your food isn’t complex – just simple goals to improve the quality of your diet.

Who is running this study?

Balanced is being lead by Professor Mitch Duncan from the University of Newcastle. Project collaborators include researchers from the University of Queensland and Central Queensland University, Balanced has received funding from the National Heart Foundation of Australia and Diabetes Australia.

Who can take part?

​Balanced is directed towards adults to help improve their activity levels and sleep quality. All you need to do is sign up and begin using the app. We have conducted a number of studies using the Balanced app to help people improve their physical activity and sleep.
